Germany's Air Force to Receive 60 Chinook Helicopters with Boeing and Lufthansa Technik Support
Germany's air force is set to enhance its capabilities with the acquisition of 60 CH-47F Chinook helicopters. This development follows an agreement between Boeing and Lufthansa Technik Defense, signed at the Farnborough air show, to establish a network of parts warehouses to support the operating bases for these helicopters. The agreement marks a significant milestone as it introduces the Chinook as the first rotary-wing aircraft in Lufthansa Technik's maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) portfolio. The first of these helicopters is expected to arrive in Germany late next year, with the agreement ensuring tailored parts provisioning and warehousing for the German armed forces.
