Oklahoma High School Basketball Team Returns Championship Trophy After Score Error
The Academy of Classical Christian Studies Lady Griffins basketball team in Oklahoma City returned their district championship trophy after discovering a scoring error. Initially believed to have won the game against Apache High School by one point, the team's head coach, Brendan King, reviewed the game footage and found that they had actually lost. Despite the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association's rules stating that game scores are final once a game is completed, the team decided to challenge the official results and return the trophy to Apache High School. This decision was driven by the school's emphasis on integrity and virtue, as part of its classical Christian education philosophy.
