Cincinnati Modernizes Parking with License Plate Reading and Digital Payment Technology
Cincinnati has removed traditional parking gates and ticket dispensers from its city-owned parking facilities, replacing them with advanced license plate reading and digital payment systems. This transition, facilitated by a partnership with Premium Parking, aims to streamline the parking process and enhance user experience. The new system allows drivers to initiate parking sessions via license plate recognition and complete payments through touchless methods, including QR codes. This modernization reflects a shift towards digital infrastructure, driven by changing consumer preferences and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
