IndiGo Suspends International Routes Amid Cost Challenges
IndiGo, India's largest airline, has announced the suspension of operations to six international destinations due to what it describes as an 'incredibly challenging cost environment.' The affected routes include Langkawi, Krabi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Siem Reap, with suspensions effective from July to the end of September. The airline cites longer flight times due to airspace constraints and escalating costs as reasons for the cuts. IndiGo has also returned a leased Boeing 787-9 earlier than planned as part of its network adjustments.
