Vermont Road Construction Projects Lead to Traffic Delays and Safety Measures
The Vermont Agency of Transportation has announced a series of road construction projects across the state, which are expected to cause minor traffic delays. Key projects include paving on I-89 South from Exit 10 to Exit 8, and on I-91 North between Exits 16 and 18. These projects involve lane closures and speed limit reductions to 55 mph, with fines doubled in work zones. Additionally, bridge rehabilitation work is ongoing near Exit 3 on I-89, with restrictions in place until fall 2027. Other projects include the replacement of Bridge #94 on VT 12 in Elmore, and resurfacing on VT 104A between Georgia and Fairfax. Motorists are advised to expect delays and adhere to traffic control measures.
