Israel's Defense Ministry Aims for Munitions Independence and Expands Defense Exports
Israel's Defense Ministry, led by Director General Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram, is focusing on achieving munitions independence and increasing defense exports. In a recent meeting with CEOs of leading defense-tech companies, Baram outlined plans to strengthen Israel's technological defense edge and deepen cooperation with the defense establishment. The ministry reported that orders from Israeli defense tech companies have reached approximately $330 million, doubling from the previous year. The strategy includes fostering partnerships between startups and major manufacturers to drive innovation and competitive pricing.
