US Approves $4.2 Billion Military Sales to South Korea, Enhancing Defense Capabilities
The US State Department has approved a $4.2 billion sale of military equipment to South Korea, including 24 Sikorsky MH-60R Seahawk helicopters and systems for the AH-64E Apache Guardian upgrade program. This sale, under the Foreign Military Sales mechanism, aims to bolster South Korea's naval and army capabilities. The package includes advanced radar systems, night vision devices, and other critical components. This approval follows a previous contract for 12 Seahawks, reflecting ongoing military cooperation between the US and South Korea.
