Chicago Memorial Day Parade Honors Fallen Service Members Amid Safety Concerns
Chicago's Memorial Day Parade and Wreath Laying Ceremony took place at Daley Plaza, honoring military members who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. The parade featured marching bands, military personnel, and community organizations. Additionally, the 31st Annual Walk for Peace was held in Humboldt Park, promoting violence reduction and community safety. This event, organized by the Alliance of Local Street Organizations, included activities such as basketball, barbecue, and free haircuts, aiming to foster safer streets and community engagement.
