Northeast Portland Hosts Free Mattress Recycling Events for Residents
Northeast Portland is offering residents the opportunity to recycle their mattresses and box springs for free, facilitated by a state law and a nonprofit organization. The Mattress Recycling Council, through its Bye Bye Mattress program, is organizing these events. The first event, Sumner Spring Dumpster Day, is scheduled for April 18 at 8678 NE Sumner St. Another event, CullyClean, will take place on May 16 at 5520 NE Killingsworth St. These initiatives aim to provide convenient recycling options for the community, reducing waste and promoting environmental sustainability.
