Payal Kapadia to Lead Jury at Cannes Critics’ Week
Indian filmmaker Payal Kapadia has been appointed as the president of the jury for the 65th edition of Critics’ Week at the Cannes Film Festival. Kapadia, known for her politically charged and poetic films, will lead a diverse jury including Quebecois actor Théodore Pellerin and Ghanaian-British producer Ama Ampadu. Critics’ Week, dedicated to showcasing first and second films, will take place from May 13 to 21. Kapadia's appointment highlights her contributions to independent cinema and her commitment to supporting emerging filmmakers.
