Australian Fashion Council Launches Initiative to Showcase Designers at Paris Fashion Week
The Australian Fashion Council is set to introduce 15 Australian designers to the international stage at Paris Fashion Week. This initiative, supported by the NSW Government and Austrade, aims to establish a dedicated Australian showroom during the Paris Fashion Week Womenswear Spring/Summer 2027. The program is designed to provide local brands with direct access to international buyers, media, and wholesale opportunities. The showroom will coincide with one of the busiest weeks on the fashion calendar, enhancing the global presence of Australian designers. Brands such as Zimmermann and Camilla and Marc have already achieved international success, and this initiative seeks to help emerging and established designers, including First Nations designers, to build similar relationships. Participants will undergo a pre-departure export readiness program and engage in networking events, including a reception at the Australian Ambassador's Residence.
