Hawaii Public Radio Joins National Public Media Giving Days Campaign
Hawaii Public Radio (HPR) is participating in the national Public Media Giving Days on May 1 and 2, joining over 100 other stations in a campaign organized by NPR, PBS, Greater Public, and the CDP. This initiative aims to highlight the importance of public broadcasting and encourage listener contributions, which are the primary funding source for HPR. The campaign invites listeners to share their experiences and appreciation for public media, emphasizing the role of HPR in providing fact-based journalism, diverse music, and community engagement. HPR encourages supporters to donate and spread the word about the value of public media.
