YouTuber Arrested for Causing Panic in Movie Theater with Gun Hoax
A popular YouTuber, Fique Wamiq Ayub, along with two others, was arrested after causing panic in a Canadian movie theater by falsely claiming someone had a gun. The incident occurred at Landmark Cinemas in Whitby, Ontario, where Ayub and his companions shouted that a person was armed, leading to chaos as patrons fled the theater. The stunt was part of a video intended for social media clout. Ayub, who has over 1.27 million subscribers on YouTube, and his accomplices were charged with causing disturbance and mischief. The police, already familiar with the group due to previous stunts, responded quickly to the scene. No injuries were reported, but the incident has raised concerns about the lengths individuals will go to for online attention.
