Eagle Rock Brush Fire Damages Homes Amid Extreme Heat
A brush fire in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, damaged three homes on Thursday afternoon. The fire ignited in the 2800 block of Palmer Drive, burning uphill near residences. Firefighters responded quickly despite the sweltering heat, with temperatures reaching 96 degrees. One home was significantly damaged, with flames shooting through the roof, while two others sustained damage. The Los Angeles Fire Department managed to stop the fire's forward progress by 3 p.m., although crews continued to work on extinguishing the flames. Fortunately, all occupants of the affected homes were unharmed.
