University Libraries Seek Director for Digital Technologies and Services to Advance Digital Strategies
George Mason University Libraries are seeking a Director for Digital Technologies and Services (DTS) to lead their digital infrastructure and strategy. This role is central to managing the Library Services Platform (Alma/Primo), IT infrastructure, online applications, web services, and desktop support across the university's four libraries, including the Law Library. The Director will report to the Associate Dean, Digital Strategies and Systems, and will be responsible for evaluating emerging best practices and technologies to enhance the libraries' efficiency and effectiveness in IT operations. The position also involves strategic reskilling of DTS staff to meet evolving needs, developing emergency preparedness plans for data loss prevention and recovery, and researching IT infrastructure for digital preservation.
