Spring Mulberry Expands Recall of Chocolate Bars Due to Salmonella Concerns
Spring & Mulberry, a chocolate bar company known for its date-sweetened products, has expanded its recall to include all 12 of its product lines due to potential salmonella contamination. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that the recall, initially issued in January, has been widened after identifying a single lot of date ingredient as the likely source of contamination. The affected products, which include flavors such as Blood Orange, Coffee, and Mint Leaf, were sold online and through select retail partners nationwide. Despite all tested products returning negative for salmonella and no reported illnesses, the company is urging consumers not to consume the affected items as a precaution. Consumers can receive a refund by photographing the packaging and emailing it to the company before disposal.
