Gallery Weekend Beijing (GWBJ) recently celebrated its 10th annual event, highlighting the resilience and creativity of the Chinese art scene. The event featured a diverse range of exhibitions from younger Chinese artists, who are exploring themes such as technological anxiety, bodily perception, and the relationship between humans and the material world. Notable exhibitions included Tian Jianxin's 'A User Guide', which transforms household objects into anthropomorphic sculptures, and Payne Zhu's 'Anal Intelligence', which critiques consumer society and financial systems through multidisciplinary installations.
