Pakistan Secures Medals at International Nuclear Science Olympiad, Highlighting Scientific Talent
Pakistan achieved significant success at the third International Nuclear Science Olympiad (INSO-2026) held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, by winning a gold and two silver medals. The event, supported by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), took place from August 2 to 8 and featured participants from 19 countries, including China, Japan, and Russia. Muhammad Ali from Government College University, Lahore, won a gold medal, while Muhammad Usman and Seerat Fatima Bhatti secured silver medals. The students were selected through the Pakistan Nuclear Science Olympiad, an initiative by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) to nurture young scientific talent. The Olympiad is a prestigious competition promoting excellence and international cooperation in nuclear science and technology.
