NATO Tests Cutting-Edge Maritime Special Operations Technologies in Bold Machina 26 Program
NATO is conducting Bold Machina (BOMA) 26, a unique experimentation program designed to test and evaluate cutting-edge technologies for maritime Special Operations Forces (SOF) in an operational environment. Held at a naval base in Lisbon, Portugal, the program brings together the maritime SOF community and industry partners to assess new and emerging capabilities. These include uncrewed and crewed systems, advanced underwater communications, and counter-drone technologies. Companies like Kraken Technology Group are showcasing high-performance uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) such as the K3 Scout, capable of high speeds and modular mission payloads for autonomous operations.
