Police Dogs Detect Possible Human Remains in Centennial Mills After Fire
Police dogs have detected the potential presence of human remains inside the Centennial Mills building in Portland, Oregon. This discovery follows a massive fire that gutted the century-old structure, leaving it heavily damaged and at risk of collapse. Portland Fire & Rescue conducted two sweeps of the building, both resulting in positive alerts for human remains. The building, once integral to the global wheat trade, has been the subject of redevelopment controversy. The fire has led to the closure of nearby roads and rail corridors, impacting local transportation.
