Survey Reveals U.S. Meat-Eaters Open to Replacing Meat with Beans
A new survey by Humane World for Animals, conducted by The Harris Poll, reveals that a majority of U.S. meat-eaters are open to replacing meat with beans at least once a week. The survey, which included 2,003 U.S. adults, found that 95% of respondents already consume beans, with black beans being the most popular. About 57% of meat-eaters expressed willingness to swap meat for beans weekly, and 62% are open to reducing meat consumption overall. Concerns about household finances, health, and animal welfare are significant motivators for this dietary shift.
