Severe Hailstorm in Poland Causes Extensive Damage to Roofs and Vehicles
A severe hailstorm has struck northeastern Poland, particularly affecting the regions of Warmia and Mazury. According to Polish Storm Hunters, the storm occurred around 2 PM near Lubomino and Orneta, where hailstones reached the size of tennis balls, causing significant damage. The hailstorm also impacted areas such as Lidzbark Warmiński, Kętrzyn, and Kisielice, with reports of hailstones up to 7 cm in diameter. The Storm Observers Network issued urgent warnings about the storm system, which included a supercell capable of producing strong winds exceeding 100 km/h and heavy rainfall. The storm has resulted in damaged roofs and vehicles, with local firefighters confirming the extent of the destruction.
