Crawford Partnership Awards Grants to Support Workforce Development Through Internships
The Crawford Partnership, in collaboration with the Community Foundation for Crawford County, has announced the awarding of Workforce Ready Intern Program grants to Driven Excavating and Bucyrus Copper Kettle Works. These grants are intended to support paid summer internships in 2026, aimed at strengthening the local workforce pipeline in Crawford County, Ohio. The program targets young adults aged 18 to 22, including recent high school and vocational school graduates, as well as college students. Interns will work in entry-level positions as W-2 employees, gaining practical workplace experience and career development opportunities. Employers participating in the program can receive up to $5,000 in wage reimbursement, provided interns complete a minimum of 120 hours of paid work at a rate of no less than $13 per hour. The internship period is scheduled from May 1 to September 30, 2026.
