The incident occurred following a Dubai-Amritsar flight on August 2. The crew completed the required procedure two hours and 35 minutes after landing, exceeding the deadline by 35 minutes. Although all eight crew members tested negative for alcohol, the disciplinary action was taken specifically for the delay in compliance with the safety protocol. Air India Express reported this violation to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
