IOM Strengthens Protection Programs in Guinea with New Protection Officer Role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is enhancing its protection programs in Guinea by appointing a Protection Officer. This role involves overseeing the implementation of protection and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) programs, ensuring they align with IOM policies and international standards. The officer will focus on providing protection and assistance to vulnerable Guinean returnees, strengthening national and local protection systems, and transitioning towards sustainable, nationally anchored systems. The position also involves developing partnerships, referral mechanisms, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure effective service delivery.
