Study Highlights Health Queries to AI Chatbots, Revealing User Patterns
A study published in Nature Health by researchers at Microsoft AI analyzed over 500,000 health-related conversations with Microsoft Copilot to understand what users ask AI chatbots about health. The study found that health information and education were the most common topics, accounting for 41% of conversations. Users frequently sought information on specific conditions and treatments, indicating a preference for personalized health advice. The study also revealed that mobile users engaged with health chatbots more during the evening, while desktop users did so during the day. The findings suggest that AI chatbots are becoming a significant tool for users seeking health information and navigating healthcare systems.
