Texas Teen Survives Barracuda Attack, Maintains Dream of Marine Biology
Claire Macdonel, a 13-year-old from Sugar Land, Texas, experienced a rare barracuda attack while vacationing in Turks and Caicos. The incident occurred during a family trip to celebrate her birthday, where she was bitten on the hand while performing an underwater handstand. Despite the injury, which required a tourniquet and will necessitate tendon repair surgery, Claire remains determined to pursue her dream of becoming a marine biologist.
