Vietnam and Czech Republic Strengthen Public Auditing Cooperation Through Bilateral and International Channels
A delegation from the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV), led by Deputy State Auditor General Bui Quoc Dung, held a working session with the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) of the Czech Republic. During the meeting, SAO President Miloslav Kala provided an overview of the SAO's organizational structure, functions, responsibilities, and legal framework. Deputy State Auditor General Dung expressed appreciation for the shared information and experience, particularly regarding the Czech model of operational independence and the role of auditing in overseeing public resource management. The SAV is particularly interested in the Czech Republic's experience in auditing public investment projects, managing state assets, and overseeing major infrastructure works, especially as Vietnam embarks on large-scale infrastructure projects like a high-speed railway.
