Nashville Opens New River North Greenway, Outlines Citywide Expansion Plans
Nashville has officially opened the new River North Greenway along the city's East Bank, providing public access to a segment of a larger planned network of parks, walking paths, and bike connections. Mayor Freddie O’Connell, joined by representatives from Metro Parks, the East Bank Development Authority, and Oracle, celebrated the opening of this greenway, which is located near Oracle’s future campus. This segment is part of a nearly two-mile East Bank greenway that will eventually connect the Oracle area to a future pedestrian bridge leading to Germantown and extend along the Cumberland River towards Shelby Bottoms. The initiative is part of a broader vision to make public spaces more accessible as the East Bank area experiences significant growth.
