NCCMH Organizes 11th Annual Autism Acceptance Walk in Boyne City
The North Country Community Mental Health (NCCMH) is set to host the 11th annual Autism Acceptance Walk on April 26 at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Boyne City. The event aims to foster autism awareness and community support. Registration for the half-mile walk opens at 9 a.m., with the walk commencing at 10 a.m. Participants are required to pay a $12 registration fee, which includes entry into a prize drawing. Dr. Christine Dillon, director of children and family services for NCCMH, highlighted the event's growing popularity, noting the consistent participation of returning families and the welcoming of new attendees each year. The walk is open to autistic individuals, their families, friends, and community members, emphasizing inclusivity and support.
