Baltimore Bakery Truck Struck by Airplane in New Jersey, NTSB Launches Investigation
A bakery truck from Baltimore, operated by Schmidt Bakery under the H&S Family of Bakeries, was struck by an airplane in New Jersey. The incident, captured on dashcam video, occurred as the truck was en route to a company depot near Newark Liberty International Airport. The driver sustained minor injuries from broken glass. The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that a United Airlines Boeing 767, arriving from Venice, Italy, struck a light pole on the New Jersey Turnpike before landing safely. The National Transportation Safety Board has initiated an investigation into the incident.
