Talley's Log Cabin Wins Best Burger in Michigan, Attracts Customers from Across the Region
Talley's Log Cabin, a restaurant located in Lewiston, Michigan, has been recognized for having the best burger in the state, according to The Detroit News' 2026 Burger Bracket. This accolade has led to a significant increase in customer traffic over the weekend, with patrons traveling from various locations such as Livonia, Dearborn, and even Ohio to taste the celebrated burger. Owner Tyler Smith noted that the restaurant experienced double its usual burger sales, despite it typically being a slow season due to spring weather. The burger, which can be served with or without American cheese, includes lettuce, tomato, and pickles on a sesame seed bun. Manager Matt Miller reported that customers were impressed by the burger, stating it lived up to the hype and was one of the best they had tasted across the country.
