Rain Dampens SF Cherry Blossom Festival Festivities
The 59th annual Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival took place in San Francisco's Japantown, showcasing Japanese culture through performances, food, and art. Despite heavy rain on Sunday, the festival attracted hundreds of attendees who enjoyed various cultural activities. The event featured traditional performances, including martial arts demonstrations by Oshiro Karate Dojo and dances by Nijikko Dance School. Food trucks offered a variety of Japanese and Asian cuisine, with proceeds supporting local causes. The festival also included community service stands and interactive games, fostering a sense of community and cultural appreciation.
