Thompson School District Hosts 'Technanigans' Summit to Explore AI in Education
The Thompson School District recently held its second annual 'Technanigans' educational technology summit, focusing on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and other technologies in education. This event was part of a two-day professional development initiative called 'Redefining Learning,' aimed at equipping educators with innovative tools to enhance classroom learning. Keynote speakers included Armando Silva, who discussed community engagement, and Holly Clark, who highlighted the potential of AI to assist students with learning challenges. Clark shared personal anecdotes to illustrate how modern technology can transform educational experiences, particularly for students with disabilities like dysgraphia. The summit also showcased AI tools such as Snorkl, which provides real-time feedback to students, enhancing their learning process.
