Severe Storms Cause Over 2,000 Flight Cancellations on U.S. East Coast
Severe thunderstorms across the U.S. East Coast have led to the cancellation of more than 2,000 flights and delays of over 5,000 others. The storms have prompted flood warnings and tornado watches, particularly affecting airports in major cities such as New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued ground stops at several airports due to the adverse weather conditions. Airlines like JetBlue and United have offered flexible rebooking options for affected passengers, while the situation continues to disrupt travel plans across the region.
