Study Identifies Delaware Towns as Most Stressful for Locals Due to Tourism
A recent study conducted by Cherry Data Signals, commissioned by the mental health treatment center A Mission for Michael, has identified three towns in Delaware as among the most stressful for residents due to tourism. The study surveyed 3,042 residents from various tourist towns across the United States to assess the impact of seasonal visitors on local stress levels. Dewey Beach, Rehoboth Beach, and Bethany Beach were highlighted as particularly stressful for locals. Dewey Beach, known for its vibrant nightlife, ranked 87th, with residents experiencing noise and congestion. Rehoboth Beach, a popular summer destination, ranked 96th, with locals reporting stress from traffic and crowds. Bethany Beach, although quieter, was ranked 123rd due to the noticeable increase in visitors during peak seasons.
