This action is reportedly in retaliation for recent strikes on Iran, which the IRGC attributes to U.S. and Israeli-linked operations. The attack is part of a broader operation targeting seven sites associated with these nations. The IRGC has warned of further attacks if what they describe as 'assassinations' continue. The incident has heightened tensions in the region, with Bahrain's Foreign Minister seeking a United Nations Security Council resolution to protect commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
