Naperville Event Fosters Intergenerational Dialogue Between College Students and Seniors
Naperville is hosting its second 'Connecting Across the Generations' event at Nichols Library, aimed at fostering dialogue between senior residents and college students. The initiative, which first took place in December, was well-received, with participants sharing life stories and advice. The event is organized by Geneace Williams, Naperville's diversity, equity, and inclusion manager, and involves students from North Central College. The format includes a game called Slingo, a musical version of bingo, to encourage interaction. The event seeks to integrate seniors into the community and bridge generational gaps.
