Congressman Brendan Boyle Supports SEPTA's 11th Street Station Accessibility Project with Federal Funding
Congressman Brendan F. Boyle has voiced strong support for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA)'s groundbreaking project at the 11th Street Station in Philadelphia. This $44 million initiative aims to make the station fully accessible, primarily by installing two new elevators to provide access from street level to the eastbound and westbound platforms, thereby ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The project also includes other significant improvements such as new lighting, communication system upgrades, a new cashier booth, updated floor and wall tiles, new wayfinding signage, and structural repairs. Congressman Boyle highlighted his role in securing millions in federal funding for these upgrades through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
