VKD3D-Proton Developer Criticizes Forza Horizon 6's Coding for Linux Issues
Hans-Kristian Arntzen, the developer behind VKD3D-Proton, has criticized the coding of Forza Horizon 6, particularly its performance on Linux. The software, which translates Direct3D 12 to Vulkan for Linux compatibility, has encountered significant issues with the game, including rendering glitches and crashes. These problems are attributed to the game's resource allocation processes, which are not optimized for Linux. Nvidia is aware of these issues and plans to release a fix in an upcoming driver update.
