Saskatchewan's Next Gen Agriculture Mentorship Program has revealed the mentor and mentee pairings for its seventh cohort. This initiative aims to connect emerging agricultural leaders from across the province with seasoned industry professionals. The program spans 18 months and focuses on leadership development and practical learning experiences. Participants are expected to engage in various activities, including agricultural boards and governance, advocacy, business development, media relations, networking, and financial management. Shaun Kindopp, CEO of Canadian Western Agribition, emphasized the importance of mentorship in shaping the future of agriculture in Canada. Federal Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister Heath MacDonald and Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister David Marit also highlighted the program's role in building confidence and leadership capacity among young agricultural professionals.
