Port Tampa Bay Welcomes Record-Setting Container Vessel
Port Tampa Bay has welcomed a container vessel with the largest carrying capacity ever handled at the port. The ZIM Canada, with a capacity of 11,900 TEUs, marks a significant milestone for the port, which is undergoing a $1.3 billion project to deepen its shipping channel. This project aims to enhance the port's ability to accommodate larger vessels and strengthen supply chains across Florida. The port's container volumes have increased significantly, and it is preparing for expanded crane capabilities to meet growing demand.
