Fayetteville Police Seek Additional Human Trafficking Victims After Arrest of Mark Pressley Jr.
The Fayetteville Police Department is actively seeking additional victims of a human trafficking network following the arrest of 33-year-old Mark Pressley Jr. on Tuesday. Investigators believe Pressley operated a trafficking network that extended across Fayetteville, parts of South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, from 2022 to the present. Pressley reportedly used multiple aliases and frequently conducted his operations out of Fayetteville motels, short-term rentals, and online commercial marketplaces. He is currently held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a secured bond of $225,000, facing various drug possession and prostitution-related charges. The police department has emphasized its primary focus on the safety, recovery, and well-being of survivors, offering comprehensive resources including safe housing, medical and mental health care, legal advocacy, and crisis counseling.
