Phoenix Nonprofit Sees Surge in Food Box Demand After SNAP Cuts
St. Vincent de Paul, a nonprofit organization in Phoenix, Arizona, has reported a significant increase in demand for food boxes following federal cuts to SNAP benefits. Since July 2025, over 450,000 Arizonans have lost their SNAP benefits, leading to a doubling of demand at the nonprofit's food distributions. The organization now holds food distributions twice a month, providing essential food items to over 200 families each time. Volunteers are working diligently to meet the needs of the community, offering a variety of food items to those struggling with food insecurity.
