Cambodia Launches ESG Challenge to Foster Sustainable Finance Talent
Cambodia has initiated the Cambodia ESG Challenge 2026, aimed at enhancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) knowledge among university students. The competition, launched by the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), is supported by the Australian Government. The initiative seeks to prepare students for the ASEAN ESG Challenge 2026 in Manila. The program is part of a broader ASEAN Capital Markets Forum effort to deepen ESG awareness and build a pipeline of graduates equipped with sustainability knowledge. The launch event was attended by key figures from the SERC, Australian Embassy, and ICAEW, along with representatives from various financial and educational institutions.
