LA Makeup Artist Suffers Severe Injuries in Fall from Bridge in Mexico
A Los Angeles makeup artist, Nina Bakhshizadeh, experienced a life-threatening accident during a birthday trip to Mexico. While on a guided ATV tour with her boyfriend, the vehicle's tire became entangled in a bridge wire, causing it to flip. Bakhshizadeh fell 22 feet into a ravine, resulting in a broken neck and back. The incident was captured on her cellphone. Without immediate medical transport available, she was taken to a hospital in Cancún in the back of a truck. Bakhshizadeh underwent emergency surgery and is currently recovering. Her family, lacking travel insurance, has incurred over $50,000 in medical expenses, prompting them to set up a GoFundMe campaign to cover costs and facilitate her return to Los Angeles.
