Singapore Art Museum Launches Open Call for SAM Residencies Cycle 4
The Singapore Art Museum (SAM) has announced the open call for its SAM Residencies Cycle 4, scheduled to run from June 2027 to December 2028. This program invites applications from artists, curators, educators, researchers, and creative practitioners worldwide. The residencies are organized around three thematic strands: Listening/Attuning, Making/Material Cultures, and Beyond Human/Interdependence. These themes encourage participants to engage with contemporary issues, material inquiry, and the interconnectedness of humans, technologies, and ecologies. Applications are open from August 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026, and will be evaluated by an international panel. The program offers residencies of one to three months for international applicants and up to six months for those based in Singapore. Participants are expected to engage with local communities and share their work through various public formats.
