The video, which humorously compared her teaching-assistant role to being an 'elite babysitter,' was a creative attempt to stand out in a difficult job market. Despite her Ivy League education, Roodnitsky faced numerous rejections and was feeling the pressure of an exhaustive job search. Her video caught the attention of a Dartmouth alum who offered to connect her with potential employers. This led to a series of interviews and eventually a job offer from an energy startup, where she now works part-time while completing her studies.
