Lockheed Martin and Partners Test New GMLRS Warhead in Australia
Lockheed Martin, in collaboration with Northrop Grumman and Thales, has successfully tested a new warhead for the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) in Australia. The test, conducted at a range near Bourke, New South Wales, marks a significant step in enhancing Australia's long-range strike capabilities. The warhead is part of a broader effort to strengthen local production capacity and support the development of guided weapons. The Australian Army employs GMLRS through its High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) launchers, which have been ordered in multiple batches from the United States.
