Air Astana Expands China Routes Amid Growing Demand
Air Astana has launched a new route between Almaty International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, operating three times weekly with an Airbus A321LR aircraft. This expansion brings the Kazakhstan carrier's total destinations in China to six, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Sanya, Urumqi, and Yining. The new route will compete with China Eastern, offering 1,014 two-way weekly seats compared to China Eastern's 1,056. The expansion is driven by strong demand in both business and leisure segments, supported by visa-free travel.
